First line of business of the day was to lay down news papers on the deck of Valkyrie and unfurl the skirting under the wash rail.  Using most of the scrap mat has has been produced over the course of the build, it was laid out along the first layer of decking.  Final installation couldn’t have gone better while laminating the decking together, silicon bronze screws were used to anchor the layers together along the sheer.  On the foredeck area strips were used to spread out the load on the screws holding everything in place while it cured.  Additional full-length strips were used to clamp the trailing edge of the foredeck since there was nothing to screw to.
