Both layers of decking were aligned and ground flush with the sheer.  Pilot holes were drilled and countersunk before the panels were removed to be puttied and installed.  The backing plates for the skene chocks were set in place and attached to the deck.  Material was prepared to sandwich the decking together after the temporary screws are removed from the skeleton supports along the railing.

After some discussion about constructing the pedestal for the steering console Travis was suggested that instead of fabricating an empty lift, the remaining billet of flotation be used since it is the 8″ needed to lift the console to the correct height.  Aside from being bright blue, it looked great.
