After the deck pieces had set over night, a noticeable bow remained when the second layer was stripped away – exactly what we wanted. It was decided at this time to add some fiberglass to the first layer on the bow so that the crown would stay somewhere near the same when the decking is removed to put the flotation in place. Laminating a layer of 1.5 oz mat and a layer of 17-08 should do the trick.

Grading the curve
The first layer of decking was also stripped along the sides and aft deck, giving us access to sandwich a layer of mat between the 1/4″ sheets, a tape of 17-08 was added to the work table to give it more stiffness.

No jelly or jam used in this sandwich
