A quick surface sanding with 150 grit and rubbed down with some scotchbrite and the second coat of primer was ready to be applied. The color of the Pre-Kote itself isn’t too bad for a boat, especially a skiff, plus it shows up really nice when it’s abraded. A handful of spots were high enough to start to show after the scotchbrite was done, but that’s what the second coat is for, to ensure a nice finish. We took this opportunity to apply a second coat of bottom paint as well.

Primer, sanded and scotchbrite-ed

Pretty good shine, for primer
