Today was day 1 of stripping planks for the hull. Cutting vertical grain pieces and running them through the router table for the bead and cove profiles. The full length strips were the worst, running 20 feet of spruce through a table saw is a pain, no matter how many people you have.
Since a member of the build crew was absent at the crafting and completion of stem 1, we decided that now would be a good time to utilize some of the extra strips we had manufactured and create stem 2. A sticky situation at best, the time involved was a curious amount but it did give us a nice break from cutting and milling the planking strips.
After the ever-growing pile of sawdust and shavings was abandoned at The Boat Shop we took some of our hard efforts down to Shop2 for a little bit of planning and discussion.
